Terms of Use

Last updated: October 25, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Atrium, the media tracker at atriumlibrary.com, run by David in Switzerland as an independent project. By creating an account or buying Atrium Pro you agree to them. How Atrium handles your personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy. Questions: email hello@atriumlibrary.com.

1. Your account

  • You need to be at least 13 to use Atrium, and old enough in your country to agree to these terms or have a parent or guardian agree for you.
  • Keep your sign-in details safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else got into it.
  • One account is for one person. Accounts can't be sold or handed over.
  • You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting it removes your library and ends any subscription straight away (see the Privacy Policy).

2. Your library and content

  • What you add to Atrium stays yours: your titles, ratings, statuses, dates, notes and rankings. You give Atrium permission to store, process and show it to you only as needed to run the service.
  • You can export your library at any time, free, whatever plan you're on.
  • If you send feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve Atrium without owing you anything for it.

3. Acceptable use

Please use Atrium the way it's meant to be used. You may not:

  • attack, overload or try to break the service, or get around its limits or security;
  • scrape, copy or resell Atrium's data or catalogue, or use automated tools against it other than the integrations it offers;
  • get into, or try to get into, other people's accounts or data;
  • upload anything unlawful or harmful, such as malware, or covers and images you have no right to use;
  • connect an account on another service that isn't yours.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we'll tell you why unless the law or security reasons stop us.

4. Other services and data providers

  • Titles, artwork, scores and other media details come from third parties such as TMDB, IGDB, AniList and MyAnimeList (see the data providers in the Privacy Policy). They can be incomplete or wrong, and their availability can change.
  • Imports and connected apps (for example Letterboxd, Steam, AniList, MyAnimeList, Simkl, Plex, Jellyfin and Emby) depend on those services. If one changes or stops its export or access, that import or sync may stop working. Their own terms apply to your use of them.
  • Atrium is independent and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any of these services. Their names and logos belong to their owners.

5. Atrium Pro

  • What stays free. Tracking, imports, exports, and every feature that is free today stay free. Pro adds features on top, such as keeping your library in sync with other apps, and new Pro features as they ship.
  • Plans and prices. Pro is sold monthly, yearly, or once as Lifetime. You pay the price shown in Checkout before you buy, in the currency shown, including or plus any tax as stated there. Pro is sold through Link, Stripe's checkout, which acts as the reseller (merchant of record): it charges you, handles sales tax and VAT, sends your receipts, and helps with questions about a payment.
  • Renewal. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each period and charge the payment method on file, until you cancel.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time under Settings → Plan, or in your Link account at link.com. Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. You can switch between monthly and yearly there too.
  • Price changes. If prices change, your current subscription keeps its price. Should we ever need to change it, we'll tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.
  • Lifetime. One payment gives you Pro, including Pro features added later, for as long as Atrium runs. It belongs to your account and can't be transferred.
  • Founding members. The first 200 accounts that add 10 or more titles and come back on another day within their first week get Pro for life at no cost, on the same terms as Lifetime.
  • Promotion codes. Codes are valid only as described when they're given out, can't be exchanged for cash, and can be withdrawn.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal can't be charged, Stripe tries again for a while and emails you. If it still can't be collected, the subscription ends.
  • When Pro ends. Your library, including everything sync added, stays exactly as it is. Only the Pro features stop; your connected apps are kept and syncing resumes if you get Pro again.

6. Right of withdrawal and refunds

  • Withdrawal right. You buy Pro from Link, Stripe's checkout, as the reseller. Pro is a digital service that starts as soon as you pay. Your right to withdraw from the purchase, where you have one, follows Link's terms, which Checkout shows before you pay.
  • Cancelling isn't a refund. Cancelling stops future renewals; it doesn't refund the current period.
  • Asking for a refund. To request a refund, contact Link support; Stripe may issue a refund at its discretion within 60 days of the original transaction. If you were charged by mistake, charged twice, or Pro doesn't work as described, you can also email hello@atriumlibrary.com and we'll put it right, with a refund where that's fair. A second payment for a plan you already have is refunded automatically.
  • Refunds and Lifetime. Refunding a Lifetime payment in full ends Lifetime on that account. Disputing a payment with your bank instead of asking Link or us first can end the plan that payment was for.
  • Nothing in these terms limits refund or other rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

7. The service and changes to it

  • We work to keep Atrium running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. It may be unavailable at times for maintenance or reasons outside our control.
  • Atrium keeps changing: features can be added, changed or removed. We won't take away a paid Pro feature without good reason, and we'll tell you first.
  • If Atrium ever shuts down, we'll tell account holders at least 30 days in advance so you can export your library, and stop renewals. Subscriptions are refunded for any period paid for beyond the closing date.

8. Atrium's rights

Atrium's name, logo, design and software belong to Atrium. These terms give you the right to use the service, not to copy, resell or reuse its design, code or catalogue.

9. Disclaimers and liability

  • Atrium is provided as it is and as available. As far as the law allows, we give no promises beyond those in these terms.
  • As far as the law allows, Atrium isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data you could have exported or lost profits, and its total liability to you is limited to what you paid for Atrium in the 12 months before the claim.
  • None of this limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

10. Ending the agreement

  • You can stop using Atrium and delete your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we close a paid account for any other reason, we refund the unused part of what you paid.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when Atrium gains features or the law changes. For material changes we'll update the date at the top and tell account holders in advance, by email or in the app. If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account before the change applies; continuing to use Atrium after that means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.

13. Contact
