Privacy Policy

This policy describes what information Atrium collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how to get in touch about it. We've tried to keep the language plain. If anything is unclear, contact David on LinkedIn.

What we collect

  • Account information. When you sign up, Atrium receives the email address and profile details needed to create and maintain your account through Clerk, our authentication provider. Atrium does not store your password.
  • Library data. The movies, shows, games, books, comics, and manga you add, along with your ratings, statuses, dates, and notes. This is the content you create in the app.
  • Technical information. Security and reliability logs may include an IP address, browser or user-agent details, timestamps, request paths, request IDs, and error diagnostics. We use this information to operate the service, investigate abuse, and fix failures.
  • Cookies and browser storage. Clerk uses the cookies needed to authenticate your session. The app also uses browser storage for performance and interface preferences. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Why we collect it

  • To run the service — sign-in, sync, and library features.
  • To respond when you contact support.
  • To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
  • To meet legal obligations when we're required to.

We do not sell personal data, we do not use your library to train machine-learning models, and we do not share it with advertisers.

How third parties are involved

Atrium uses service providers to host the app and database, authenticate accounts, and provide media metadata and artwork. They receive only the information needed for their function. When you search for or add a title, Atrium may send the title or provider identifier to a metadata service; it does not send your account details with those lookups.

How long we keep it

  • Account & library data: your Clerk account can be deleted at any time from the app: Settings → Account → Manage profile → Security → Delete account. Once you confirm, Clerk deletes the authentication account and signs you out. Atrium library data is stored separately and is not currently removed automatically by Clerk's deletion flow, so contact David on LinkedIn to request its removal.
  • Technical information: retained for security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain kinds of processing. You can:

  • Export your library at any time from the app's settings.
  • Remove library items from the app at any time.
  • Contact David on LinkedIn for anything else, including formal data requests.

Third-party attribution

Atrium uses the following services whose attribution notices are required when their content is used:

Children

Atrium is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll remove the account.

Changes to this policy

When we make material changes we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email.
